I wanted to share with you this historically inspired Victorian corset that I recently created for a client who does living history/historical reenactment events. Most of the corsets I create for my label Wilde Hunt Corsetry are made out of leather, so it is fun to create something from a completely different time period and to make it out of fabric. I hand embroidered all the boning channels with a period feather design using French silk thread and also added some antique French lace at the top. My client will wear this corset under a period gown along with the traditional suite of Victorian undergarments (chemise, bloomers, etc).
